There's always that one thing...

You know that one thing you can't seem to get rid of?? Well I have two, but one of mine was sold today. : (
I've had this Pottery Barn dresser for years now.. sitting in the garage with no place to go.. needed some TLC, that I so wish I had time for but with 4 kids it's a tad hard.. so it went on craigslist today and sold within 1 hour. (I love craigslist!!) I will miss it dearly.. it was Natalie's first piece of nursery furniture I had bought her. But it will find a new home, and it won't be so lonely in the garage. :)

Lovin' this weather!

The weather was really nice today.. I opened the windows and turned off the AC. It's kind of chilly now though!

Colby came down with a cough last night, he coughed alot.. I took him to the doctor this morning, and he has an upper sinus infection. Hopefully he will be cured soon. I hate to see my baby sick!

Fall is coming!

I can't belive I haven't blogged in a week!
I remember, and I try to remind myself.. don't forget.. or I'll catch myself taking pictures for the blog.. but then I don't have the time to actually sit and do it!

This weekend was busy.. we got alot done around the house. My husband pressure washed the driveway, front porch and his foot. Yes, his foot. LOL
Sorry, that's not funny (especially not to him!!) but why he wasn't thinking to be more careful~ I don't know!

We took down our old landscape border, and added white rock. I like it much better!





Does anyone know of where they have clear wreath hangers?? I could only find black and gold. blah!

Rainy Weekend.........

I was suppose to be in a childrens consignment sale this weekend but it got rained out, which is good because now I can collect even more things (who, me?)... we stayed inside alot, but did get out in the rain Friday evening and my poor kiddos are paying for it now.. Kenley and Colby have coughs and runny noses.. not good!

We had a craft weekend.. the kids painted, colored, and drew on the walls (that's nothing new!) .. here they are painting pottery.. these were cupcakes, ice cream sundaes and cakes.



Mama got some work in as well... I made a huge batch of Lovespell scent aromafresh, and I tried out a new scent Sweet Pea & Vanilla.. which is REALLY good!!!

These are 100% homemade.. (made w/love I might add!) I dye, color, scent, and shape them all by hand. They are wonderful in your car, or dresser drawers.. desk drawer.. anywhere really! They are $4 each or 3 for $10. I am adding several new scents to my collection this week. I will update soon!

Around town.....

We went up to Creekview for lunch today w/Natalie. I think she is enjoying school, but she misses her mama too. She has adjusted extremely well and I am so proud of her! :)

Kenley LOVES to be a big girl and do what all they do. So of course she got a tray, and a milk and went down the line. Colby has to do everything HIS sister does, so we ended up with a tray for each kid. They thought it was too cool.

(Can yall remember when we ate lunch for like 85 cents? It's $2 now--that's all I got for lunch in HIGH SCHOOL!!)

After lunch, I ran by the bank and then decided to check out this nursery that was going out of business. We've been wanting to put rock in our flowerbeds, and plant a few trees in the backyard.

Kenley found this bench and immediately said "cheese" before she even got up on it. She acts like I take a ton of pics or something, LOL!



They found these fish in a fish pond. For one quarter you could get food and feed them. I had 3 quarters= 2 kids.. have fun wondering how I settled that! ;)



Actually, this really nice lady who worked there brought over that cup of food you see in the picture, and they got to feed them all of it.

Then the kids found this fountain, and they climbed right up for their picture again.





We had a nice lunch and trip to the nursery. Colby is napping quietly, and Kenley is.. well, being Kenley as usual. :)

$25 flew out my window!!

Well, not literally. :) But I did take Madison to the doctor yesterday to have the doctor tell me within one minute of being there that the mole I was concerned about on her would go away on its own. Thank goodness they got me in right away and I didn't have to wait in the waiting room for long or else I would of really been ticked! They should have an online doctor or something you pay $10 versus your regular co-pay for this kind of stuff!

Blogging for Cookies!!!!

So I know this girl. She's an amazing wife, mom and friend. She sent us something in the mail. I was expecting it today.. so, I loaded K&C up in the wagon along with my mom's dog we are dogsitting and off we went to the mailbox. (I knew my package was going to be REALLY good, why else would I walked 1/2 mile in the 100 degree heat! ;)

Yey, our package!! Look at these fabulous cookies!! I am proud to say they are ALL gone too. We did share one with our neighbor~ but these are just so adorable and too yummy to not eat.



This is after they saw what was in the box. So now Mama is stuck with pulling 2 kids in a wagon, and carrying a dog that is getting to hot to walk home. LOL! Fun times! :)

Gymnastics and Dancing.. Fall Season has begun!

Here we go.. school, girl scouts, dancing and gymnastics. FUN stuff! And it really is.. unless you have to occupy 2 busy toddlers while you do all this.

Kenley today (bless her heart) took her shoes off with Natalie at the gym, and then followed her big sis to the line and proceeded to do what all the other 4-5 year olds were doing. (She's 2.) She had the biggest grin on her face-- it broke MY heart to have to pull her out of the line and put her back in the boring parents waiting area. But then it really broke my patience when she threw her tamtrum!! Oh the joys of a 2 year old.

Madison is in jazz/drill team this year. She's excited about the poms. She wants to do gymnastics next year though, which will be good because poor girl is not coordinated at all!! :)

Update on the kiddos:

Madison is in the 3rd grade at Creekview this year.. such a sweet girl, loves school and homework! (didn't get that from her mama!) She is taking Drill Team/Jazz in dance school and plans on being in girls scouts as well.



Natalie is in kinder and 5 years old!! Didn't think I'd tear up, but yes I sure did!! She was NOT happy when I was leaving her on the first day, but she quickly got over it and now loves to go. Natalie starts gymnastics tomorrow, she is so excited! I see her as my future cheerleader!



Kenley Grace. Oh, the joys of being 2 1/2! Can you say tantrum if she doesn't get her way!! She's at a fun age~ learning new things and talking more each day. She's a daddy's girl though!
(yes, that is McDonalds fun on her dress! She brings it to me when she wants to go there, which yes is just about every day)....



Colby is now 19 months. He got his very first haircut the other day. Mama loved it, but is sad at the same time. What a little man!!! Looks like his mama huh? (Yeah, right!!)

My Aromafresh

Time for more aromafresh!! I am making a batch of Love Spell (Victoria's Secret Scent) and it will be hand dyed purple.. they are $3.50 each, or 4 for $12.. great holiday gifts! (gosh, can you believe its just about fall already!!) I will have holiday scents in November, and for my customers who loved harvest spice, I can have more made up in a few weeks of that. :)

Vacation!!!

Doug and I just got back from Cozumel, Mexico. We took a cruise out of Galveston with some friends of ours and had a fabulous time! We left the kiddos at home, missed them but wouldn't of changed it for anything. We really needed a break!
