Holidays are over!

We have survived the holidays.. the girls are with their dad in Beaumont this week. I miss them terribly. Kenley and Colby have been having fun in their rooms though, LOL.

Doug and I traveled down south and I came back up while he duck hunted. That man does nothing but duck hunt in the winter! Fortuntely he buys me things when he leaves so he keeps mama happy... haha! The kids got spoiled as usual for Christmas. They got tons of toys.. their bigger gifts they scored was a new trampoline, a new John Deere Gator, and a new playhouse.

Natalie got the golden gator award at school. Only 6 kids are chosen throughout the year, so we are pretty proud! There is a ceremony on Jan. 7th to honor her.

I've been trying to get the house in order for the New Year! Staying organized is my resolution for 2010! Four kids can get you very disorganized. :)

Doug and I went on date night tonight to Red Lobster. How in the world 2 people can rack up a $70 meal is beyond me! Oh well, it was very good!! Then we walked around Barnes & Noble. We didn't feel right without the kids, so we left and went and got them. LOL



Only 2 more days to 2010, so crazy to think about!

Santa's Wonderland

We go everywhere to Santa's Wonderland, here in College Station. The kids just love it. However, each year it gets more and more popular which brings even larger crowds.

This year we waited.. are you ready?.. 2hrs and 10 minutes to get OFF the feeder road into the park to see the lights. 2 hours and 10 minutes with 4 bored, tired, fussy and hungry kids!! The lights were great as usual, but we ALL agreed to skip out on them next year. The kids enjoy Santa's town enough for that.

I can't believe it's December already.. where has the time gone? Just weeks until Christmas!!

Today we went to Christmas in the park.. it was COLD!!! There is 70% chance of snow in the morning, less than an inch but snow regardless!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Yes, I know.. I have been HORRIBLE about keeping up with this! We are just so busy around here!

I recently cleaned out my son's closet, and switched over the summer out and moved the winter clothes in.. however, we are still wearing short sleeves here in South Texas! Crazy how warm it's been for almost Decemeber!

This is *bare* to me, I'm used to it having clothes falling out everywhere.. but I'm excited I finally got it organized and cleaned up. I do need to organize his dressers now.. they are full of his pants and jeans..

Now on to the girls.. yikes!

This past weekend we went to several fall festivals.. here are a couple pictures from one. The kids had alot of fun.. we won a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing in the cakewalk.. so good!! They jumped in the bounce houses, had face painting, crafts, and played on the playgrounds. Popcorn, Trick or Trunk'ing, Cotton Candy and juice boxes. Fun stuff!

So for the post after this, I'm going to try to post something other than my kids. LOL They are my life though, so you really can't blame me! :)

So.. it's been a while. *blush* But I have a good reason! I couldn't remember my login info!! Seriously! :)
So..what have we been doing? I love this weather! I love the fall! We are usually very busy during the fall with dancing, gymnastics, softball for DH, fall festivals, pumpkin patches,etc. (Where's Mama's "hobby?")
Here are a few pictures from the pond.. Doug loves to fish! We went out there with him yesterday, but it was so muddy and messy (although beautiful weather!) that I wouldn't let the kids have the kind of fun they wanted! Maybe next time!

There's always that one thing...

You know that one thing you can't seem to get rid of?? Well I have two, but one of mine was sold today. : (
I've had this Pottery Barn dresser for years now.. sitting in the garage with no place to go.. needed some TLC, that I so wish I had time for but with 4 kids it's a tad hard.. so it went on craigslist today and sold within 1 hour. (I love craigslist!!) I will miss it dearly.. it was Natalie's first piece of nursery furniture I had bought her. But it will find a new home, and it won't be so lonely in the garage. :)

Lovin' this weather!

The weather was really nice today.. I opened the windows and turned off the AC. It's kind of chilly now though!

Colby came down with a cough last night, he coughed alot.. I took him to the doctor this morning, and he has an upper sinus infection. Hopefully he will be cured soon. I hate to see my baby sick!

Fall is coming!

I can't belive I haven't blogged in a week!
I remember, and I try to remind myself.. don't forget.. or I'll catch myself taking pictures for the blog.. but then I don't have the time to actually sit and do it!

This weekend was busy.. we got alot done around the house. My husband pressure washed the driveway, front porch and his foot. Yes, his foot. LOL
Sorry, that's not funny (especially not to him!!) but why he wasn't thinking to be more careful~ I don't know!

We took down our old landscape border, and added white rock. I like it much better!





Does anyone know of where they have clear wreath hangers?? I could only find black and gold. blah!

Rainy Weekend.........

I was suppose to be in a childrens consignment sale this weekend but it got rained out, which is good because now I can collect even more things (who, me?)... we stayed inside alot, but did get out in the rain Friday evening and my poor kiddos are paying for it now.. Kenley and Colby have coughs and runny noses.. not good!

We had a craft weekend.. the kids painted, colored, and drew on the walls (that's nothing new!) .. here they are painting pottery.. these were cupcakes, ice cream sundaes and cakes.



Mama got some work in as well... I made a huge batch of Lovespell scent aromafresh, and I tried out a new scent Sweet Pea & Vanilla.. which is REALLY good!!!

These are 100% homemade.. (made w/love I might add!) I dye, color, scent, and shape them all by hand. They are wonderful in your car, or dresser drawers.. desk drawer.. anywhere really! They are $4 each or 3 for $10. I am adding several new scents to my collection this week. I will update soon!

Around town.....

We went up to Creekview for lunch today w/Natalie. I think she is enjoying school, but she misses her mama too. She has adjusted extremely well and I am so proud of her! :)

Kenley LOVES to be a big girl and do what all they do. So of course she got a tray, and a milk and went down the line. Colby has to do everything HIS sister does, so we ended up with a tray for each kid. They thought it was too cool.

(Can yall remember when we ate lunch for like 85 cents? It's $2 now--that's all I got for lunch in HIGH SCHOOL!!)

After lunch, I ran by the bank and then decided to check out this nursery that was going out of business. We've been wanting to put rock in our flowerbeds, and plant a few trees in the backyard.

Kenley found this bench and immediately said "cheese" before she even got up on it. She acts like I take a ton of pics or something, LOL!



They found these fish in a fish pond. For one quarter you could get food and feed them. I had 3 quarters= 2 kids.. have fun wondering how I settled that! ;)



Actually, this really nice lady who worked there brought over that cup of food you see in the picture, and they got to feed them all of it.



These fish were huge!!



Then the kids found this fountain, and they climbed right up for their picture again.





We had a nice lunch and trip to the nursery. Colby is napping quietly, and Kenley is.. well, being Kenley as usual. :)
